AMASHOVA Bunch Gallop
Amashova impressed as always. Full road closure. Beautiful scenery with all types of terrain. The slight headwind persisting throughout the day meant it was always going to a bunch sprint. We managed to split the race up through the halfway marker but most where content with sitting on.
Kent main kept everyone on their toes most of the day as he was always on the attack as only he can.
Mornay and Eddie also contributed to making it a tough race. But with the last 30 kilometers being mostly downhill at very high speeds it was also going to be difficult riding away. In the final teammate Gustav Basson positioned me well to finish on the podium. We stayed left out of trouble keeping in mind 94.7 as our main goal. With team sprinter Clint being at Worlds in Doha it was always going to be a difficult task beating Nolan on a course like Amashova, especially with the great lead out train he had.
Thanks to all involved for all the memories made. It definitely makes cycling so much worth while.
Next up Bestmed Satelite Classic on Saturday.
